Cam Mang completed his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Master of Science in Neurophysiology at the University of Alberta. During that time his research interests were focused on the use of neuromuscular electrical stimulation to enhance corticospinal excitability. In the brief periods of time Cam has not been enrolled in university, he has spent time volunteering as an exercise therapist at a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities in Nepal. His interest in rehabilitation after central nervous system injury led him to the BBL where he plans to utilize brain imaging techniques to better understand how neuroplasticity contributes to recovery after stroke. In his free time, Cam volunteers with adapted outdoor recreation programs and enjoys travelling, kayaking, hiking, cross country skiing, snowboarding and pretty much anything else that gets him outside.
